how to decode a trim tag?

How do you do it?

Heres mine for the 72 Stage 1:

TR 137 63 T PNT
09D A51

A51 = bucket seats

Thre rest is pretty straight forward.

 

ST72 = 72 model year
434 = GS
37 = hardtop
FL1 = Flint line 1
046673BDY = Fisher body sequence number
TR 137 = TAN Bucket seats
63 = exterior paint color
T PNT = Top color (my guess is Tan)
09 = September
D = 4th week
A51 (my catalog does not show)

There rest of the info can be found in the 72 service chassis manual and/or assembly manual.

Double check the T and make sure it is not an F. I never heard of a T top code but not sure on 72's

Verde Green came up with Covert......ou: They already had a vinyl top that was Tan so lets confuse the world with Covert o No: With a convertible top is called Sandalwood.......go figure..............

 

In Spanish would it be Green Verde?

 

Verde translated to english is "green".

So the color code 57 for 1969 Verde Green would be "Green Green".
