Sorry. It's '70-'72. He sent 2 pics..... Maybe someone here could use 'em....:TU: IDK if these are re-popped
IDK. I just have these pics. Sent an email asking if any of it was broken. I only have big Buicks so I don't know if they are being re-popped or not.o No: Been thinking about giving my Riv a breath of fresh air. If I get it and not use it I'd be happy to pass it along... :beer
It is not a '72 unit. It just be a '70-'71. They are the same for big-block and small-block. The value will depend on condition. The $100 range seems correct to me if it is all there and in restorable condition.
There is more to it than what is in the two pictures. To put this on a big car will take some work, but it can be done.
Thanks Mike, it would seem that I would need to source several parts for this to work-grills, whatever they attach to and the cleaner itself. That doesn't include the holes in the hood. BUT the car is currently in the shop being takin' apart. Any idea what the rest would cost me to do this???? I'll post another thread to see if anyone has done this.

I'll go right to the bank... Don't go anywhere now.:bla: Still, how cool on a boattail?????:TU: :beer
Didnt somebody just put scoops on a Riviera and use the air cleaner? I cant find the thread but I know I saw it. J-pop, which car in your sig are you thinking of doing this to?
$100 for just the frame seems a bit high for me. Finding the cups alone will difficult and in the end I bet you'll buy the 3 pieces together in some other auction or sale etc.
It's gonna be for the '71 that has been the shop since OCT. And Briz did this on his Riv. I'm looking for part now. I know I need the air cleaner housing itself, but don't know what else. Here are the threads.. http://v8buick.com/showthread.php?t=221130 http://www.v8buick.com/showthread.php?p=1729179#post1729179
You'll need the dual inlet housing as you mention... And the 3 plastic pieces (Plus there is an elbow under the drivers side snorkel for the heat riser tube if you did want to install that.) (These are pix of a before and after of mine using fine steel wool to rub to a shine. From the factory these were not painted) One Two and Three
Ahhh, so those are the "bucket" I've heard of. Does anyone know if ANY of these pieces are being made?? Also both of the sides on mine are square (455???) And thanks for the input...
To my knowledge these are not being re-produced. Both sides square is 70-71, one triangle side (as in my pictures) are 72 only. Both 350 and 455 use the same air cleaner in their respective years. But have different height foam seals. for the hood grills, 71 is a one year only. Something tells me 70 and 72 are the same but not sure. The frame for the grills in the hood are same in all 3 years. The seal plates are different just like the buckets 70-71 and 72
'72 Left hood grille is also different than '70, with triangular cutout, to mate with (Left) triangular scoop/seal/etc.:Smarty: '72 Right hood grille is same as '70.:TU:
