I will give you a general formula for calculating HP. First some background. Atmosphere is 14.7 so I use 15 as my divisor just to be on the conservative side. The theory is that every time you double atmosphere(with boost) you double the size of the motor doubling the output. so you need to first get a multiplier and the formula is this boost psi divided by atmosphere or in your case 8/15=.53 so your multiplier is .53 Next you multiply .53 times your base HP or in your case .53*300=159 next you add the 159 gained HP to the Base HP of 300 or 159+300 and get 459 So the whole formula looks like this if b=base horsepower p=boost pressure (p/15+1)*b (8/15+1)*300 (1.53)*300=459 NOTE: This formula is only accurate if you can get the tune correct with the added airflow. and have no overlap issues with the cam. and don't forget those pesky detonation issues that come with turbo charging. PS I wouldn't use Hypers By the way turbo's also add massive torque this is because the same formula above will also work for your torque. I say put a water/alcohol injecter($300) on it and crank the boost up to 12-15 psi and now your looking at 550-600hp
Hi Frank talking about hp what are the # on the motor JW built for you some time back ,I am still waiting to my free ride/drive been looking for you at a few of the local shows do you take it by work i am willing to stop to check it out for you ha ha:TU:
