how much flywheel runout is too much?

I bought a 66 425 core form our core supplier for $450 ( the 401 I had turned out to be cracked-junk). The biggest reason I spent that much was his assertion that it was SO complete even had a flexplate, alternator, starter, distributor, intake manifold, and all the brackets.

since a flexplate is around $200 and an intake around $50 I figured it was a good deal. Well I took it apart today. The manifold is for a QJ which I don't want, 2 pistons were rusted in, the alternator is broken in half, the dist is junk (bent) and worst of all the flexplate has .125" runout. Since the only thing that is garranteed from these guys is the block, heads, and crank they will be under no obligation to suply me with another flywheel.

Can I get away with that much runout? Has anyone ever straightened one succesfully? Am I just screwed? I swear I am leaning more towards putting a Chevy in this thing!:af:

Definetly too much runout! Can you see where it is bent?
I've had good luck straightening items with a press. The trick is to press down the high spot, while having the bottom side properly positioned so the force is concentrated in the correct area. I never tried a flex plate tho.

BTW, The Q-jet intakes are sought after...you could easily get $150+ for it.
And cracked blocks can be repaired in many cases.
