So. This it really not Buick related.. I've had several bottles of champagne it the fridge for several years. Are they still going to be good.

I know there is someone on this forum that knows the answer to any question ever asked.

If you were closer, I would help you figure out if they were good!

I would say its not likely its good anymore. But, the only real way to test it is to open it and give it a sip. You'll know if its bad- a slightly darker color than normal and no fizz. I would have a bottle of fresh champagne handy just in case.

Considering they drink 50 year or more old Champagne that should answer your question.

That wouldn't be Korbel though. The only way to know is by opening one. I'd be surprised if it would last more than a year or two.

I figured I would have to drink them all to see if they were OK..

I'm not really into champagne, but why discriminate:Do No:

I only drink beer, and it never lasts more than a few hours. The trick is to put 2 in the freezer, 4 in the fridge. Chill until they get very very cold, grab one out of the freezer and replace it with one from the fridge. Drink the one from the freezer, and repeat the cycle until all have moved up to the freezer and are gone.

...or just have an ice chest in the backyard stocked full of ice.

    ....off topic...

When I was a kid, my grandfather used to have some thick and heavy glass beer mugs. He would freeze the glasses, and pour nearly frozen Lone Star into them. He had his own personal freezer for it all in the garage. I remember nobody was allowed to go near it. He even had a keyed locking handle on it. Pretty funny when a 3 car garage consists of 2 cars and a beer freezer.

Korbel is not a real Champagne but a sparkling wine.

The darker the glass of the bottle, the longer you can keep it.

If you look at the date on the bottle of this Korbel wine, you can add 3 years to still be safe drinking it, but only if the bottle was kept in a dark place with a constant temperature :TU:

I like red wine better [IMG]

Korbel's NO GOOD after 10 or 12 minutes. You should immediately jerk it out of that refrigerator, and send it to ONLY a certified recycler.. . algore wouldn't want you contributing to global vinegar.

    Just so happens -I am a certified recycler of gone bad champagne - my address is 359 . . .. .. .. ... .. . . ;-)))

    You get the picture . . .
