How hard is it going to be to find a '65 GS 4 Speed?

OK, since the GSX is, for the most part, done, I have been getting the itch to do another car (wife thinks the body filler has gone to my head:laugh:). I think a 65 GS 4-speed would be pretty cool and it's quite a bit different from the X. About 10 years ago I ran across a 65 GS, sea foam green(?) color and I think it had a 4-speed. I didn't have the money at the time and of course, the car is long gone now. I can't even remember which house it was at to ask.

So my questions is, how hard is it going to be to find a 65 GS 4-speed car? :Do No:

Nice Car! I'm not sure that I want to go that high, but that is a pretty darn nice car. I would like to find one that requires a bit more work (i.e. lower price) though. Apparently it did sell, though I'm not sure if they got the big $$$'s they were asking. Acording to the Guide to Gran Sports, 65 was largest production year for 4-speed cars with the big cube engine.

you`re more likely to find an automatic `65 than a 4-speed,they are not that easy to come by.

    Thanks

there's a 65 GS 4-speed convert here local. have been trying to buy it for a year now. rare find as far as i know, any 4-speed car from 65 is going to be hard to find, and sometimes harder to buy.

  13. theres one in york pa that needs a complete rebuild.
    saw it under the tarp.
had a nailhead in it and gs all over it.
    stick car floor shift 4spd

it was a salvage yard out there and the car was in the yard under a tarp.

Like any Buick, it's going to be a little hard to find a 4 spd(manual). If worse came to worst, you could always make a clone out of a skylark and convert it over to a manual. The real deal is going to be very pricey, for a normal '65 GS w/ an automatic,-they are ranging high in value now, and a 4 spd is much higher in price. Good luck, :beer :TU:

Tom, you better do it at night. Bring a car cover with you too and button it down until you cross state lines. Otherwise it could be :blast: or :spank: once they stop :ball:
