Your first post here and you have a negitive comment to make about another member ... Here we usually ask all newbies to introduce themselves to the board .

If you have a problem with somebody , did you try to get it resolved ?

What is the problem without mentioning any names , etc ? Maybe we can help you without making a 10 page post out of this .

Also moderators are here to help also . :puzzled:

    SkylarkSteve Hello Michael

He could be a regular user who created another user name to remain incognito, but, contacting a moderator would be the best move.

HEY, I am a new user. I typed in the "ebay" user id for a seller that scammed me and it brought up a complaint on www.complaints.com and this website. He used the same id. Being a true "carguy", I felt like I should warn others about this flake. I just wanted to follow protocol and not just jump out with his name. :Do No:

I had a similar situation myself a few months ago. I don't want to tell his name, but this person with only a few posts under his belt had offered a complete '69 Riv disc brake setup for sale with 2 extra rotors. Sounded too good to be true, but considering the rarity of a good setup for the $300 he was asking, I contacted him.

Now this guy lives on the opposite side of the country, so shipping these heavy items so far to me would be quite expensive to begin with. That was not a problem, until he insisted that I also take a pallet with an extra steering box, 4 or5 spindles, a few upper and lower control arms, springs, steering linkages and I forget what else or he would not sell me the disc brake setup. It was take all or nothing.

When he wanted me to send him a money order large enough to cover parts and the extra common carrier shipping before he would commit to even really having the second set of rotors I smelled a rat. I would have been a real sap to fall for this one. When I mentioned to him that I have relatives that live close to him that could stop by and get the parts and ship them to me themselves he got all defensive and said he was painting a car and would call me back but never did. I warned another member from this board who was also following his part for sale thread but I don't know how it turned out for him.

In hind sight I should have spoke up but did not want to give someone a bad name if I was just being too suspicious. If I see him advertise in our parts for sale in the future I will contact a moderator. :spank:

    David G de-modded....

I would suggest that anyone that has a problem with a buyer/seller on this board, should first contact one of us moderators with all the details, if you are unable to resolve the situation yourself. Near the top of the main forums page is a link for "Forum Leaders". Go to that page and PM or email an appropriate moderator or administrator.

Joe, in your case I wish you would have provided a moderator with details of your situation. If we have inside knowledge like that, problems can sometimes be headed off before they become a problem for someone else. Feel free to contact me via PM or email if you care to discuss your issue.
