Chris, There is usually 2 flat style clips (maybe 1/4inch across)with a hole in the center that also have small flanges that when you push these over the stud they hold it from sliding off the stud.A somewhat tedious job to pry them off,but not extremely difficult.Somewhat similar design clip as the ones used on the heater cables that hold the cables on the studs on the box,if you ever seen those. Do you have a picture of what they look like, I'm needing some to put the emblem on the new panel. maybe I'll find something close at the hardware store tomorrow.
