How Did You Mount Your Aftermarket Seat (including race buckets)?

I'm reaching the point where I have to decide which way to go with my seats. My eventual plan was to go with a fiberglass race bucket on the adjustable sliders.

I'm curious how those of you who run an other-than-stock mounting did it. Did you just drill through the floor pan and bolt it through (floorpans seem a little wimpy). Or did you reinforce the pan for the mouting bolts? Or???

I'm most interested in those of you running the buckets in a race car (where you know the stresses will be greater than just getting in and out).

    Pictures would be great too.

Why would you not use the stock mount locations? Thats what I used when I put in the seats from a Chrylser Sebring.

Bench seats only have two mounting bolts per side (removed a bench seat). I may be able to use one of them, but I'll still have three to go.

You must have been pretty lucky that a car 20+ years newer had the same bolt hole alignment.

I am very surprised that all of the mounting holes are not there even in a bench seat car. There are actually 5 threaded mount holes on each side. There are 2 in the front and 3 in the back. My car is a clone from a Skylark and I doubt it was a bucket seat car. The mount points should be there. Look underneath the car and you should see all of the mounting points.

The Sebring seats required a lot of fabrication of the stock base to make them work. Got it figured out after a lot of welding and cutting. Here are a few pics but I screwed up and did not document the project http://www.v8buick.com/showthread.php?t=110974&highlight=seats

I'll have to look again. Now that I think about it, since it had a bench in it, when I installed the new carpet, I was only concerned with cutting holes where I needed them (2 per side).
