Jim,where is the regulator mounted?and the other thing is where you have the clamp holding the feed line is where my PS pump is. Thanks
No regulator is required with that pump.. I have done several cars now with this setup, and had no problems. Since you had the regulator already, I mentioned that you could use it, if you wanted to. I know of no PS bracketry for the 400/430/455 that goes thru that water pump bolt. Also.. on some applications, with particular bracketry, that clamp might not be required. JW
If i mount that aluminum plate for the regulator that Jeff suggested will heat be an issue since it sits right on top of manifold heat? Thanks
George, there would be [another] carb gasket under AND on top of alum plate. Even better would be to use a "special" heat-isolator gasket- don't forget hood clearance! :Smarty: http://www.jegs.com/cgi-bin/ncommerce3/ProductDisplay?prrfnbr=711&prmenbr=361 http://www.jegs.com/cgi-bin/ncommerce3/ProductDisplay?prrfnbr=792&prmenbr=361 http://store.summitracing.com/default.asp?target=edepartment.asp&N=120+4294925239&x=15&y=8
Yes, They took care of the poor cruise fuel curve issue with the early 950 HP's, and added a nice baseplate with a vacuum tap. Was supplied by the customer. We typically use nothing but the 80513-1 1000 HP on the hot rod motors anymore.. excellent driveablity and power right out of the box. One of Holley's "smarter" carbs. Good consistant results with a number of them now. JW
Jeff,i gotta c if my hood would clear with all that stuff under there?i`m already cuttin it close with the SP-1. Thanks
