I've got a sport wheel sitting in the parts room that feels like it has a layer of slime on it. I've tried to clean it with MEK, and a soap and water solution. NO luck really yet, it's clean and looks good, untill you hold onto it for awhile.

Does anyone have any ancient chinese secret for cleaning these things, and removing that slimey feel?

Nature of the beast. The vinyl used in most wheel covering will do that.

You could always wrap it with leather?

Mark did you get your wheel cleaned yet ?

If not try good old "Purple Power". You can buy it in large quantities for a multitude of chores. The one it works best on is your greasy engines .
Give it a try and don't think you will be dissappointed.
Did you get the horn button alright ????:Do No:
