How can a shift lite install ruin your day?

Wrapping up a few left over items from last years stage 2 install was a shift lite on my 69 skylark. Well the interior is all out so I could finish wiring and painting the roll bar. So first I had to install a freshly sandblasted/painted recovered bucket seat in the drivers side so I could find a spot to mount the light. First thing I notice is that I sit way up higher towards the ceiling? Attribute that to brand new Legendary covers, springs and their best most expensive foam and continued to fab up a mount for the shifter light. Finish the light install and again I sit in the drivers seat this time trying to sit while putting my helmet on and no way it's going to work unless I grind down my legs... Seats were put together by a well known upholstery shop.

So...you can't sit in the car? Maybe you need a suncoupe??? Or maybe they will settle a little after you sit in them for a while. Good luck with that.

We just got new seats for our car. Hope we don't have the same issue. Good thing we are short in this case.
