I need help for my 64 Wildcat, the horn relay on the drivers side firewall is not at any parts suppliers books. Its a 2 prong switch with a junction box and battery cable coming from the hot side of battery and mounting to the unit. I think 1964 and some newer Rivs have the same unit. Any help would be appreciated, PM if you have one that is good:pray:
    Thanks
    Gary

The original one made by Littlefuse (with a square top) is SUPER hard to find. It was also used on some early GS's, GTO's and 442's and is highly sought after.
There is a replacement one made with a rounded 'can' top.....generally avail for around $40.

    Wow! You found it!
That's a very good price, even tho it's about double what I paid for mine....in 1982!

    Thanks Jim!:beer

When adjusted for inflation what cost $25 in 1982 would cost $53.47 in 2006 so the relative price has decreased and not increased since 1982.

Furthermore, if I had INSTEAD invested that $25 I spent for the horn relay in 1982, in a mutual fund that gave an average 6% interest a year, I could probably have earned enough to buy about 10 of them at the current $50 price....
So I guess I should have waited, huh?

If you had so invested $25.00 at 6% compounded annually you would have $107.30 in 2007. So in 2007 you could have purchased two relays plus breakfast.

Hey Guys Thanks for the quick response, I bought one like the Autozone one but its not like the original but I can mickeymouse it to work. But I prefer the same as is on the car, Its a small box with the relay and is incorporated into a triangle ? shaped black plastic unit with a post to bolt the battery cable. I will try to make the Autozone type work til I find the right one. 63 is different but 64-67 Rivs looked close. Hopefully some one has an old parts car laying around. I will try and take a pic and post it
    Thanks
    Gary:beers2:

I have an unknown but probably good one from my '64 Riviera. The horns don't work due to a wiring problem that I found after I swapped it for the Delco "can" style one. I'll sell it to you cheap since its not worth much to me.
