***Hooker header install question***

I just got a set of these headers and I'm wondering how I should install them.

I'm thinking, drop the motor in without them and then put them up from underneath before I drop the motor onto the frame pads then bolting them up and dropping the motor fully into position.

 

Can't say for sure on your century but on my 70 lark the best way is to bolt the engine in, jack front end as high as the jack will go, install jack stands and put them in from the bottom. Leave the starter and heat shield off.

 

I second that. I could not get them in any other way. The starter is a good tip too.

 

At least they are used so I won't worry so much about scratching them.
