Hood stripes or not and if so which would look better.

IMHO I like the standard GSX striping. At some point you will be selling that car and the closer you stay to stock, the easer it will be to move.

I am also in the last stages of getting the car ready to paint (this fall or winter)ray: I have two looks I am thinking, tripple black (always nice) or clone the 70 yellow and black GSX (in your face/look at me)

color choice is the hardest because once it is done you have to live with it.

I love black on these buicks they look so bad ass. I was so close to choosing this color combo when I had mine painted especially when the body came out so straight, but stuck with my original plan from 2003 and went blue. Not going with the GSX stripes or wing was a real tough decision for me.

I like the prototype strips. it is different and it will make all us buick guys look and then look again, which after all is the point But either stripes with charcoal is going to look good, especially with the wheels you are running.


Are you planning on the wing? any stripes on the deck lid or only the hood?

 

Cars going in the paint booth friday. Decided to go with the prototype hood stripes. Should be able to take pics next week. ray: I can't wait till its done! Thanks for all your opinions and responses.

Update! The car needed a lil more blocking so it should get painted this saturday. Theres always someting :af:! I hope it's done by next week so I can take some pics.

 

The car is finally painted. Hood came out really well. Tell me what you guys think and thank you for all your responses.

 

I like the stock stripes

 

I really like the black with black..I am pondering whether I like the red pin stripe. I think I will have to see that when its out in the sun. I see you were smart enough to drill the tach location, unlike me.

 

The stripe doesn't look right in the front

I like it for what you are doing to it, and what does my opinion mean, it's yours that counts.

Myself I would have brought the stripes all the way down, but it does look good that way, I like the colors, those do go good together.

Yea I really like the way it came out and you don't see to many Pro Touring Buick Gs's. Here's some more pics. I'll post some when it is completely finished with the air bags and the torq thrust wheels.
