Hood pins

    im going to get a fiberglass hood which recommends hood pins( heavy duty) what pins have you guys used? Any pics

    Existing holes in rad support beside adjusters puts in the flat area rite off the fender

    I like the aero latch also but am concerned about locating the pin; their instructions shows cutting the hood but not locating the pin, which I think needs to be done before cutting the holes in the hood. Any pictures of your installed

    Yea give me 30 min, you locate the pin like you would with any pin, but a pic is worth a thousand words

    You didn't specify if your fiberglass hood was a bolt on or a lift-off. Lift-off will require dzus fasteners on the sides and pins in the rear as well like photo below.

    It’s a heavy duty bolt on , so I’ll only need the front pins

    Pics of the install on wife's Z/28 'glas hood:
    Not very good second pic, but you can still see where we mounted the pin on the fender/core support brace. This was because mounting on support would put the latch way forward past the hood edge.
    I plan on replacing the pins on my Skylark with Aerocatch.

    GM made these. I found on Ebay for $75. And Yes these are for Buick. Rare. you can find these on Ebay Baldwin Motion . for $575.

    But these are on my other hood. I would not put on my original.
