hood latch assembly

Hello,
I am having issues with my hood latch on my 70 GS 455 Skylark and am looking for pictures of what all I should have. The hood was stuck and I had to remove the latch to open it. I noticed it was first off missing the hook piece that goes under the bumper but what else should it have? Is there a secondary safety latch? I would greatly apprecaite a picture or two of the correct set up....

 

What model/year car are we talking about?

 

I did not notice I forgot that info. Just edited post. It is a 70 GS Skylark

 

This is a setup for a 70 car. When you pull the handle it partially releases the hood, then you need to lift the hood and pull again and it releases.

69 is different. 70 doesn’t have that coat hanger.
