ok ... so im following my mom home and i was happy cuz i just got my new sports steering wheel put in and my friend did most of the work (thats prolly why it did what it did:laugh: ) well this dude honks real quick just to say hi and when i say hi back my steering wheel does this honk... hooooooooooonk honk hooooonk thing. it was now constantly going. so i did what any one would do and hit the thing, still.. nothin... so i tore off the face plate and the spring and disconnected the wire. at this point my mom was thinking i was mad and the guy prolly thought i was completely nuts and im sitting here laughin just about the whole way home...
My ? is. If the horn was fine in the first place through a few honks why would it do that randomly? Now everytime i touch the wire to the connection point it starts up again. How do I stop this? 1 more ? and I'll be through ... the instructions really did suck and made no sense... there was a little foil like sticker that was made to fit perfectly over the ... actually we dont know where it goes .. but it could fit over the plate you stick on after you put the steering wheel on or on the steering wheel part itself?
    Thanks!!!

Did he/she cut the plunger the correct length? If it is too long, then it will keep the contact grounded. I think.... Unless your horn contact is stuck. Look at the piece that connects the horn button to the wheel. It should have a little mit of a spring action to it. THis is what makes the contact for the horn sound.

Hey I think the installer did a great job:moonu: The plunger is the right length but the overall grant steering wheel setup was kinda chinsy espically with the instructions they gave :blast: (instructions) Anyways it worked for a few days so something inside must have slipped or broke. (just trying to cover my own butt here)
