I recently mounted my TV on the wall.
I have a closet on the opposite side of the wall so I ran all wires though the wall and placed all the equipment on a shelf.

I purchased set of Jenson remote extenders ($50) so I can use my remotes through the wall for a clean install. I put it on a shelf that I put on the side of the TV for pictures and stuff.
However this unit requires you to be 4ft from the IR receiver. 4'1" and it doesn't work. So thats useless.

I also tried the Terk LF-IRX Leapfrog brand ($40). Exact same concept and the remote worked at the distance I need, but you almost need a laser scope on your remote to aim it at the receiver to get it to work.. still a pain in the a$$. :spank:

Has anyone used the SpeakerCraft brand? They are much more money. $$$
Any other users out there? I sit on the couch in front of the TV or love seat to the on the right side wall, and its about 12 ft to the couch, maybe 9-10 on an angle to the love seat.

any and all opinions are appreciated.

i had a buddy with an RF universal remote that worked great. may want to look at some of those too. I think he had a cheap Jensen brand.

He had this in the dorms and it was a blast "borrowing" the remote and going into the bathroom with it and crank up his volume or change stations. or turn the stereo on in the middle of the night.
