Very well done! I'm sending one of the masters of the macabre to join in your festivities. I don't think he is one that should be defied, give him what he wants!
I scared the crap out of the kids in my neighborhood a few years back. I'm a firefighter and I put my bunker gear on including my air mask. I stuffed a little bit of hay in by my boots and gloves and just laid the bowl with a sign that said "Please only take one" in my lap. Needless to say almost every kid that came up thought they'd hit the jackpot! I flopped myself in the chair and contorted my self as best I could to make it look like I wasn't real. Only three groups of kids caught on, one because the kids knew me. When I caught someone trying to grab all the candy, and sometimes bowl and all, I'd all of a sudden grab their arm and say "It says ONE piece of candy". It was great. It's even better when you get the older kids.
NICE! We had a guy do that about 15 years ago in my old neighborhood....only he posed as a scarecrow they had put out about 2 weeks ahead of time. So everyone thought he was the scarecrow that had been sitting there the whole time. He got up and scared this little girl so bad, she peed her pants!!

I got to escort my grandma and two little cousins around her neighborhood yesterday. There was this one house, well, I'll just say that the people there were WAY into halloween. The fog machine, the strobe lights, the things flying in the trees, the giant dummy in the electric chair spinning around and the lights flashing. There were 3 people there, one lady handing out candy and 2 guys in costume hiding in the shadows. The one guy (wolfman) started following us out and thinking about it now isn't scary but at that time it was. lol
My only comment is to "JUST SAY NO" to "fun size" candy. There isn't anything fun about that stuff. I refuse to buy that, although at the new house we don't expect many TorT'ers this year. I go to Costco and buy real candy bars. This year the few wise enough to stop at my house get full-size Nutrageous bars. I've only got a box of 24 though. That's twice what I needed last year (In the past I was packing three 24 count boxes). I'll let the parents control the quantity eaten. Plus, it's like buying "protection" for the following year. :TU:
Hey, Beth - Superman? What happened to the Knight? My nephew came by about 1/2 hour ago - as Santa Claus! Lots of creative kids out there. One pre-teen was a cave man, shivering in his shorts. Poor kid - probably got extra candy because of it! I love Halloween! ShariB
Uhhhhg.......the kid changed his mind at the last minute o No: note to self..........only have one costume available in future ou: thats OK, I did'nt have to dress up as a Mideivel Queen after all. Beth
