Name's Billy. Call me Mike. I live in WV. I've got a Buick or two, I guess. I thought I would get a couple of posts under my belt so I could ask a question or two.
Thanks for the "welcomes", gents. I own a skylark or two. An electra, also. And maybe enough Buick floor sweepings to slap together a go-kart. 'Course, it might not be the prettiest go-kart..... ...still, it would be safer than a new Toyota.
Michael, I live near Huntington. Been around your parts of the woods several times. And far be it from me to suggest that anyone who remembers West "By God" Virginia is showing his age. Not that I remember, of course. I think my grandfather told me about it. : )
My wife is from Ona so I come that way quite often. We should get together some time. I won't have the vert out until I know that the snow has stopped.
Michael - did you know that there's an old guy who's got one of them old hard-top station wagons living nearbouts Ona? Original paint, even. I've asked him about it, but he ain't planning on selling. Gonna' "fix it up" one of these days, maybe. Right after he fixes the problem with world hunger, probably. Derek - thanks for saying "hi". I've been to Boston a fair number of times. Never struck me as the kind of place that was welcoming of a yard full of....uh.....four-wheeled "treasures". 'Course I know most places aren't so avant garde as WV when it comes to yard art. 'Cept maybe eastern KY. True visionaries, them Kentucky boys. Voodoo Child - I got a '66 skylark, too. From what I can see of yours, it's mighty sharp. Don't know which I like better - the scoop or the front plate. You from roundbout here?
Yep, sure am.......born and raised in Huntington, I've never lived out of WV. :TU: Thanks for the compliments on my car. Do you have any pictures of your 66? I'd love to see it. I looked all over the hills and "hollers" of WV and Ky for a 66, had to "import" mine from California
Look at post #87 on this thread, there are more pictures of my car last summer, right after I got her "home". The rear bumper looks dented, (reflection of gravel) but they are both in pristine condition. http://www.v8buick.com/showthread.php?t=169526&page=4
Pictures? I think I can manage that. But I've got to get a few more posts under my belt 'fore I can do it. They are good looking, aren't they? The '66s, I mean. And you're right. Pickin's are mighty slim 'round these parts.
Welcome and hello from just across the river....wife and i get down into Parkersburg quite a few times a year....there's a lot of Buicks down here.....

Three more posts and you can post your pictures  I'll help......What color is your Skylark? Got any extra parts for sale laying around? I just bought a set of bucket seats for mine, it had drag racing buckets in it. Nice to look at, hard on the rear......
Hi, Buford. Thanks for introducing yourself. Those are sharp looking cars. Saw one for sale not far from here not long ago. You'll really have something nice on your hands once it's on the road.
