Hi everyone, I am a new member with a few questions...

I just bought a '68 GS convertible. I have been looking for this car for about 4 years, and finally got my hands on one in MS. The PO rebuilt the car beautifully, and an independent inspector certified that it was all I hoped for.

It is a fairly optioned car including factory A/C. What is Ice Cold Air? Is it a factory type compressor or an aftermarket upgrade?

I want to upgrade the sound in the car w/o removing the factory AM unit. I am probably going to use the Custom Autosound Stealth Stereo 2, keeping everything out of site. What I don't know yet (the car still has not been delivered!) is where the speakers are located in the car. I know I can add custom kickplates from CA, but where are the rear speakers located? Are there even rear speakers? Obviously, I want to do as little or no cutting.

I am sure I will have a ton more questions down the road...its a good thing there are forums like this.

    Thanks,

    Michael G

Usually "ice cold air" just tells the buyer that the AC works and blows cold. It's likely a factory setup, but then again the retractable roof is all you should need anyhow.

    Welcome to the groupl, Michael!

Rear speakers are actually behind the back seat...accessible if you pull the top of the back seat out, or through the trunk...under the top well..

"Ice Cold Air" is a term used by people selling a car that has a fully functioning air conditioning system....nothing special.

Good luck and welcome to the board!!!!!:beer

    Adam,

Thanks for help, you wouldn't happen to know the size on those speakers, would you?

    Thanks,

    Michael

    David G de-modded....

I believe 6x9. There are grille covers on my package tray, but no speakers anymore. 4x10 doesn't sound right.
