a couple of years ago i bought what to me was my dream car. A large powerful classic american convertible. :spank: my wife<.I now have a garage that will hold the car and a small work bench. Im ready to start my restoration :Do No: I want to pull the engine and tranny and would like some advice. How should I start. pull engine and tranny sep or together. What am i getting into. is it feasable to do body off in my 1 car garage. I would like to up horse power to about 450-500 without a power adder, and maybe a 100 shot of laughing gas at a later time  Can I upgrade brakes to disks. How about getting rid of points. Well I have chewed your ears enough any help or advice would be appreciated.

    thanx
    joe

PS I put a lock on the garage to protect me from my wife :af:

    slomo MY NAME IS JOE

Howdy, Joe I would pull both engine and transmission together. Remember to put a seperate drive shaft yolk in the tal shaft or you will have a fluid river. I drained my tranny so not to have it bleed all over and it still did and the rush for rags was on. Trans fluid stinks bad a long time.
