Hey what happened to the 72 shortblock for sale???????

Collin I was up in line and sent you pm's and you responded as next, but now you deleted the post because you decided you didn't want to ship it.
I was looking for a friend from that area to ship it for me, but now the post is gone?????
Can I get some help or is this the way we sell items on this board?

 

I know I was wondering the same thing, I was 2nd or 3rd and can pick up locally!

I was in line too as 4. I could have arranged pick up too. Even it might never had got to me.

guys...after receiving some negative emails about my choice to not ship, I decided to delete the post and sell locally to avoid pissing off any more board members. I didn't realize this was against the rules and I am sorry if I made any of you mad. David PM'd me about it and I explained my side but wanted to let you all know as well. I didn't mean to step on any toes..my bad.

This isn't right!! I understand he didn't want to ship but he never even gave anybody a chance to pick up locally???? Smells funny!!!

Lighten up on him guys.... This is not the first time this has happened on here. No I didn't get it but I bet I can guess who did! He has the right to sell off this board locally- I have had this happen to me before. Let's all face it- we are only mad because we all missed out on a good deal! Sold it way too cheap in my opinion.

I think you should at least give Mbusher83 or Robb Ross an opportunity to buy it locally first.
I would really like it, but I can pass and let one of our board members get it. I know shipping is
a hassle because I've had to ship a block to Boston, but we are all on this site for a reason
and that is to get help and give help to our Buick community.

I hope he does the right thing selling it to the person in line. I really hope some other board member doesn't buy it out from under others. Joe I am glad you worked with me to get that engine to me in mass I appreciate it.

well I was the one first in line, said I was going to pick it up. this guy even sent me the pictures this morning
that I had asked for. said it was sold if everything was ok. then vamoosh not even a courtesy call to to tell me.
nice. hope people will remember this in the future.

I can back what Glen is saying 100% I was on the phone with Glen just after he posted that he wanted this engine/parts. Glen and I went over the add while we were talking. Glen lives very close to the seller and there was no question that he wanted to buy and pick these parts up and skidmark knows this. I will lay money on someone came through the back door with more money.

If Skidmark doesn't come clean and finish the deal he started with Glen, he should be as per board rules band from V8Buick. There is NO room for these reindeer games here. Chris Skaling

Glen had cash in hand, the rules are in place for very good reason. This web site doesn't charge for us selling or buy, at the VERY least we should respect the rules AND the other members 100% or what is the pointof having the classifieds here if there is no integrity. Go to ebay if you want a auction.

 

wow..really? WTF? I explained what happened and offered my apologies, no one came through the back door offering more money either. I ended the sale..end of story. My apologies to Glen and everyone else who showed interest, but if an apology isn't good enough then I don't know what else to say, these are just cars and engines...and forums. I wasn't trying to piss anyone off as I already stated. If I have to be banned from v8buick for this then ban me.

 

Didn't you send 13 pics to Glen this morning? No BS, Man up and finsh what you started with Glen. He was 1st in line, had cash in hand and was picking it up. :af: I will not say anymore because I have complete confidence that JW chime in and deal with this, the rules are clear. Chris

 

yeah I did send him pics..BEFORE I changed my mind about shipping and then everything going south. I don't need to man up about anything, all I did was changed my mind on the sale and have stated that. I guess the days of an honest apology are gone...wow.
