    Here is my reply John:

Hi John. Does the pushrod change also accompany a cam change? If so, is it a bigger cam? It is my understanding that BBB with fairly hot cams have valvetrain noise. One of the best Buick mechanics in the country listened to my engine asnd said that with my cam the rocker noise I have is normal.

If you didn't change cams, and the rockers were quiet before, then we have to ask what changes were made... you swapped to the 430 rockers, right?

Tell me your full scenario and I'll get in contact with Gary Paine. He is one of the oldest and best Buick racers in the country, and just traded me his 455 rockers for my 430's. He'll have an answer.

In the meantime, if you took all the play out of the pushrods, then added 1/2 to 3/4 of a turn, drive it like you stole it. You'll be OK.

I think that mailbox is shrinking!! Thanks Jeff. I did swap in a TA-413 Cam. Still using 70 rockers though. The noise is worse at hard acceleration in the midrange area. Other than running out of fuel on long pulls, its running fine. I am going to narrow the fuel problem down soon. One guy at TA told me that this noise is normal with some engines. But, Dave told me that I must have them adjust. wrong because the 413 cam is usually quiet.
