Well I finally did it....the Buick is back on the road again. Believe it or not its been sitting in the garage since July, and it started up on the 3 try :) I let it warm up...gave-er a few quick taps to put it at idle, and so it did at 500 rpm's. Checked the A/C, nice and cold...heat..perfect. And I did the best check of all....lit them up before I got home driving from the garage to home (I rent a garage) :Brow: . I cant wait to start driving my Buick again and finally starting its resto. I will start posting pictures soon as to show you guys how things are going...

I will be back on Mon. or Tues. next week and let you know how things are going :)

Thanks so much guys...this car is not a cream puff body wise, but mechanically the car is super sound. I've had this car since 98 and only did an engine rebuild and trans rebuild. I had to stop due to unfortunate circumstances, and now I'm ready to get this one done right :TU: . The only thing I'm a bit confused on is that its sea mist green...the color looks great, but I wanna do something different...I was thinking of the GSX green with the stripes and all, just no GSX labels. I cant get the GS style steel hood so I'm opting for a fiberglass one. Of course it will have the wing and front air dam :Brow: . The other thing I'm undecided on is to weather put the vynal top on or just leave it as a hard top, the car originally came as a vynal top and the 2nd owner removed it. I need some help with that decision. The only thing thats holding me up is the grill, but I'm hopeing to have that solved soon :) . The cool thing is that I've been buying stuff for the past 5 years for this car...here is what I have so far..

center console with shifter and all brackets (black)
pair of GS bucket seats (black)
    GS steering wheel
    15X7 rims with new tires
    4bbl 350 intake with 850 Q-Jet
    all the chrome trim
    rear bumper for rechrome
band new 1970 GM stamping front right fender
    rocker pannel mouldings
    2 doors
plus all the other little goodies I forgot to mention cause I just dont remember

all I need to complete this project is the hood, wing, air dam, GS GRILL!! get some new bushings all around, new headlight bezels, rear quaters, trunk pan, and a few other things
I'll get it done before I die

Well guys wish me luck as I freeze my you know what off this winter working on my driveway  . Hopefully it will be somewhat restored for the big picnic again in PA. Man I have lots of work ahead for me......

I hope to show you guys my Buick soon :)

Bill I found that carb on a 71 GS that was in a junkyard...I have no clue weather it was replaced with that carb or it was originally on it when it was new. It was a mistery to me when I saw it on there:Do No: . All I know is that when I had it rebuilt my carb guy told me what it was and he himself said its a really rare carb.

Thanks Marco...I will be there for the E-town event on the 10 of Nov. with the Buick, but I will warn everyone...its not that pretty to look at.:( Hope to meet up with everyone again on the 10th!

Thaks so much for the picture Chris!! It kinda gives me alot to think about... Sorry that I havent been on lately, I've been on vacation and I just got back...I will keep everone posted on the Buick as I get things done
