I was just checkin' out your backyard choppers. I gotta say I though I was the champ of low-buck fun. Your killin' me! Anyways, have you made a jig or are you eyeballing? Was the front part of the green kids bike scratch built, or was it from another. What I'm wondering is how you'd get the neck true. I'm thinking of lowering my V45 by cutting and raking the front and maybe some similiar methods apply. BTW, are you bringing one of these to Salem? Maybe I'll hammer one out real quick with some ten foot forks and we'll cruise the pits. :TU:

I wish I was going to Salem. I am already about to be shot by several people if I don't get my work caught up.

I am eyeballing everything. I start with just and idea and build as I go. Changing things as necessary. Its something I have done for years. Give me a limited amount of supplies and I will build what I can from it.

The kids bike was super tricky piecing them forks together. I needed a racked neck but the only one I had, had no fork legs. So I had to jig saw the two sets together. I would not do it again unless I had to. Each one has been done with some what limited parts.

I almost hated letting it go. I had plans to do allot of work to that little bike. But was quilted into it letting it go. Still not very happy about it. As I know he will never finish it off right. Though his kid loves it.

I want to build another small one.

I missed out on two bikes in the junk this week. Both times by time I got back around to pick them up, they were gone.

Id like to get started on my 2nd adult bike but need some more parts. The first was is nice but Id like more gearing. This one will have a 3 speed internal hub so I can go gear happy.

I want this one low so my butt scraping the ground as I peak around the neck of it to see. Riding a bike help with my back problems. Seam to keep things stretched out. My legs don't go numb or ache like they did before I started riding again.

I am kind of doing this to warm up to motorcycles myself. I know I can or could. But don't have the nerve to start cutting up a real bike worth something. Also Id hate to have one come apart on me or someone else. I have 3 older eundro type frames that I had planed to mess with some day. I am just working my way up slow.

Same guy who got the kids chopper. Bought 2 broken mini bikes last weekend and wants to chopper them.

There is a guy in the ViragoTech forum that did a Virago up real nice. Lots of pics n a good read.

Who can build the coolest, baddest, meanest bike on the planet?
Though you have an advantage as to prior knowledge of my next bike design.

3 day bike (bicycle) build?!?!?! If Discovery is in, then I'm in. That Virago is very interesting. I have ideas for my V45 that may come to fruitation by next year. Finance's dictate that this will be my only bike for the next several years, so I might as well have some fun with it. If my lowering is successful, then I'll take it from there. It looks like lowering the back is a simple case of different shock/springs. Anyone know about this?
