Help with engine ID

    Recently I ran accross a early La Sabre at the local Pic A Part. On the air cleaner it said the engine was a 350-4 High Compression. I have never seen that designation before on a Buick. Worth taking?:Do No:

    A 1970 model?
     
  3. If it's real cheap and you need it, it's worth taking. Otherwise, the 350's are usually pretty easy to come by in yards, and shipping is expensive, so it could be hard to sell out of your area. It is probably a 68/69/70 engine, 68 being the first year for the 350, and 70 the last year of the higher compression engines. I think 71 saw a reduction in CR.
