I just bought a 1977 Electra, only to find a fist sized hole in the floor in the rear on the right side. Its was hard to notice because there was a piece of steel siliconed into place to seal it I guess. Then it was undercoated. But that wont do for any car of mine, oh no. I dont like half-fast jobs. So what should I do?? The steel is really thin and flaky, I'm not sure if I can weld it or not. Should I just take a square of steel 1' by 1' and try to mig weld it on or what?? I ask because I need to get the car safety checked, and I doubt they will let that slide. Any help would be appreciated!! Thanks!
