I busted my heater core when I was ever so gently removing my hoses (yeah right).

I have an 85 Regal and want to know how difficult it will be to replace it and where do I start?

How much am I looking to spend to have the shop do it if I can't get it done myself in a weekend? They're closed now so I'll call around myself on Monday if I don't get answers.

    Thanks!

Mine broke about two months ago. I've been making the cruising seen with the hoses tied together! I'll change mine when I get around to it. I don't know how similar it is, but the one in my wifes 90 Estate Wagon went real smooth with the hood removed.

Was it all done under the hood or did you have to get inside the car?

Bye the way, good to hear from you!

    Mark,

I think hers was all under the hood, however, that is a different body. Plus that was like five years ago and my memorys fading. I just remember the hood was off for the engine swap and all the stuff on the top of the cowl came off easy. I think the G bodys need work from inside too. Its been eons ago that I did one on a G body. If you can handle an engine swap, I think you can handle a heater core. Remember, you can always temporarily take the hoses of the core and connect them to each other. Good luck!
