I have tried twice packing with petroleum jelly, once with wheel bearing grease, again with break in lube , and another with motor oil,but no oil!!!!! I have been using a priming tool, and only get foamy oil , and you can hear the gears cavitating.I have filled the filter a couple times, changed filter, tried to draw a vacuum from filter inlet, removed pressure valve,ect... This motor has not been fired yet, and I am getting frustrated with this frame off resto car that I am making a mess out of!!!!!! Can any one help me!!!!!!!!!! Glenn:blast:

If you have oil in the pan, and are turning the pump the proper ( clockwise) direction, and can't pull oil check, the relief valve . If it is not stuck open then the only thing left is a blockage in your pick -up tube.
