Help: Odd squeal from front of 64 Nailhead

Discussion in ''Da Nailhead' started by BamaWildcat, May 19, 2013.

  1. Looking for some opinions as to the noise in the following YouTube video. Car has always run good. It sat at the body shop about six months, being started and run sporadically. On the way home from the shop after I picked it up, I heard it squealing and assumed the power steering pump was on its way out. I pulled all the accessory belts off, and the sound is clearly coming from the lower front of the timing cover. This ruled out water pump, alternator, A/C, and power steering. Please see video below. Does anyone have experience with a sound like this? Hurt bad, or maybe the seal lost lubrication?

Seal is dry, i had this same issue. Spray some silicon there and check if it's gone. I had it after long sitting.
    Peace, Kacper.
