Help Needed - Who Has a 1972 'A' Body?

That was built at Flint (VIN code 'H').

If your GS was assembled in April or May, could you please post the Fisher Body #, cowl build date, and first 3 of the VIN serial number.

I'm trying to determine the correct cowl build date for a Fisher body # of 247664. If your body # is somewhere near this one, can you please either post or email me the cowl build date/body #?

I thought 72 Skylarks were "H" coded in the vin#, not GS's.

 

Hi Carl -

I was referring to the plant code 'H', not the model code 'H'.

The model code is in position 2 of the VIN, and the plant code is in position 7.

I needed this information from either model 'G' (GS) or 'H' (Skylark) (they are both 'A' bodies), as long as it was plant code 'H' (Flint).

 

Hey Carl.The 7th didget is the plant code,H is Flint.GS vin`s start as 4G.Skylark starts as 4D,Skylark Custom as 4H.Does that help any?? Later,Tony.
