ok so i am torn between rebuilding my automatic or switching over to a 4 speed manual. with the automatic i figured it would be around 650-700 when it was all done with. with the manual trans i figured it being 700-750. this isn't going in a skylark but behind the buick motor in my lincoln. i figured between 300-350 for the manual trans. anyone know what the going rate for a 4 speed might be from a junkyard. i know how i would do the pedals and the linkage. i'll go hydraulic. i am just having a hard time deciding and was wondering what you guys think. Thanks Jeramie

On the manual figure about $1200.00-$1500.00 for a good rebuilded one and then you need to figure in the bellhousing, flywheel, clutch fork, and lower cover. Automatic would be the less expensive route because THM 400 are inexpensive and cheap to rebuild, AL
