Hi guy's here's my problemi have a new dell 8400 dimension i have been trying to send some pics of a dash pad i am selling .first i had to configure my outlook express i have that all up and running .i am you paint shop photo album 5,when i tried to send the pics i get a e-mail from aol saying there was a fatal error in the address but everything is ok as far as the address is concerned.can anyone lead me in the right direction.
First, try sending him an e-mail with no pic and see if that works. If it does, then we can worry about how to send the pic

Aol doesn't like big pictures, try resizing it to a smaller size. You're not trying to send a .bmp are you? Convert to .jpeg instead.
I forget exactly what it is, but AOL has an attachment limit. I think it is 12mb. Do what Chris said, then do what Cody said. Your program should do this just fine, but if you like to play with new "toys," The Gimp is nice, free, and has no malware.
I tried sending an e-mail that didn'y work it did not like my like the server configure i put in the set-up but i got the info from microsoft to enter in the apropiate boxes i thinkl Eric is going to stop by sunday and help.
Do emails to other addresses work? You might need to set up the outgoing server address, or your service may not even allow outgoing pop.
Computer problem and Sun Coupe Question Todd, it sounds like the problem is in address you are sending to even though you say it is fine. Try to send a test message to and address you can verify with the receipient that the message got thru. Your note says you are in upstate NY and you have a Sun Coupe parts car. As it so happens, I live in Albany NY and am in the early stages of restoring a Sun Coupe. Any possibility of getting any parts from you? Thanks. Ed Allmond Albany sixty7ragtop

Actually, what was happening was, it looked like the AOL SMTP servers were detecting his connection as a bad or illegal type connection (read: Port sniffers, crackers/hackers, etc) and dropping his connection. We went through how to resize the photos and send them using AOL itself and all seems good. Todd, if you have any more questions, let me know. I can usually get things fixed quickly or over the phone. Oh, and I'll let you know how that 2bbl works :TU:
