    I am making an attempt to put a dual exhaust system on my 1956 buick and have a rear exit manifold but can not clear the starter.

    Have tried a late model starer from a 401 ??????


    Is there a "mini" starter or what will work here ????????

    The 56 had what was called a double "Y" exhaust manifold. On the pass side the exit was at the 3rd cyl back . Did you change manifolds?
