I did the HEi and alt. conversion on my Skylark. Between doing both at the same time I'm confused. On the alt. I have the red wire from the pigtail to Batt. ring post. Is that right or should it go to the battery? From reading a couple different articles I'm confused. Any help appreciated.
do you mean that you went with one of the newer Internal regulator alternators?? If so, I just ran the red wire from the two wire plug to the post connection on the back of the alt. then ran a wire (pref. 12ga.) from the alt. post to the batt. + terminal. Didnt' even touch the other wire on the Alt. plug... no probs like that, been running for 4 years now. HTH
Yeah, I went to the internal regulator. I've been looking at it and it just seems like the battery isn't in the circuit to get charged. Thanks for the info.
