The 68-72 set-ups were found on many cars. I have them listed in the article. Visit this parts for sale section as well as other A-body sites such as www.realoldspower.com www.classicalpontiac.com Usually you can find a set-up for $250-300
well i went to two junkyards two day and well one was a complete bust but saw alot of the valves needed, and the other had a set up but they wanted 500$ for it so looks like i am back to looking on here
You can buy a new set-up for $500 from www.opgi.com Visit any A-body site for cars being parted out with disc brakes. Also, ALL, 70-2 Monte Carlos and 69-72 Grand Prix models had disc brakes standard. So, keep searching and you will find the set-up.
Here is an article explaining the conversion I am going with - ARTICLE. I think when all is said and done I will have about $900-$1000 into the conversion. I think it is worth it, I get the large 12" brakes, a better front end geometry, and some pretty trick looking pieces  . The inner fenders are definitely not going back in!
what is the going rate for the prop valve. i just got the new setup complete minus the valve i saw it was 60.00$ at opgi what should the price be at the yard are somewhere else
If you want the 71-2 combo valve as shown below, I sell them for $40. You can buy the brkt from www.inlinetube.com or mount it directly to the frame rail. If you want one, email me direct GStage1@buickperformance.com
hey did any1 mention if the stock masterclynder will hold up to 4 wheel disc or would we need like some sort of 4disc mastrer off a chevy 4x4
I have an article on our site where I did a rear disc conversion. Using the 79-85 Eldorado/Toronado/Seville rear calipers, no need to swap master cylinders. The piston capacity is so small on them that don't use much fluid.
I know it is a Chevy site but they have a sale on brake conversion kits right now. They have a pretty complete inventory with OEM hardware and bolts. I got a set of their "loaded" control arms and they fit nice. They also sell a complete kit for converting from an automatic to manual transmission. http://www.ss396.com/index1.htm Mike
another question about rear discs, will you have any clearnece issues with 15x8s...like what'll be the max back spacing...would either 3-7/8 or 3-1/8 back spacing be fine?
See the article on my site with 15x7 rim shown installed. 15x8 is no problem. Use stock back spacing is ok.
