Just realized I've got cord showing on the old M&Hs. Can't believe I was going that fast on bad tires. So it's time to decide. Is anyone actually running the 555Rs on a GS 455? How do they hook? Think they last longer than BFGs? How do you think they'll look on a '70 GS? Think that tread pattern looks a little star warsie for old Buford?

Current tires are 275/60R15s, but I'm considering going to 275/50R15s. Going smaller means I'll need to change out the fronts too. My cheap side will probably take over and I'll stay with the 60s. Thanks in advance for your help.

Answered my own question. Nittos are available in 275/50s, with the 60 series due out summer or fall. Decided to stay large, so BFG is the only radial choice for the moment.

If you're talking about the BFG drag radials.....

I couldn't get them to hook AT ALL !!!

    Heat 'em good
    Heat 'em alittle
    High pressure
    low pressure
    On the converter
    off the converter

and every and all combo's in between.

This was with the 26" 275x15's (is that the 50 or 60 ??)

Still got 'em and could bring them to KY if someone want's them.....mounted on some 8" centerline's new tubes and screws. Very little street driving and only about 20 passes if that.

Where's the best place in the western US to get the Nittos?
