    Hi all,
Just found this site today. I've been checking it out for about 2 hours now, and thought I'd introduce myself. This site has already answered about a gazillion questions i've had, and i'm sure i'll get more answered just by reading more. 3 weeks ago I bought my first buick. It's a 71 buick electra limited. it was a one owner car that my best friends grandfather owned. the car runs awsome but has 190,000 miles on it(how long do therse engines go?). The engine has never been rebuilt, the trans was done about 10,000 miles ago. There is a slight exhaust tick, and it was using oil until i replaced the valve cover gaskets. now the oil level has remained the same for the last 2 weeks. The car is awsome. I guess there isn't much more to say for now. If any one is from the San Diego area and knows a good place to go for body, paint, interior, or engine/trans work for buicks/classic cars, feel free to PM/e-mail me. My car needs a little of all of the above, and i'd like to do things right the first time. Thanks,
    -Chris Sargent

Welcome Sarge - Yea this sure is the mother load of a site for any BuickLover out there. I just joined yesterday. I mentioned a few of my old Bucks of years past but I did forget to mention my '70 225. Boy was she a RoadQueen. I only had her for 2 years but it was 2 of the finest driving years I can remember. That 455 4-brl would just haul when asked for. O well I'm at work and I better get back to it never know when Big Brother's watching.

    Thanks for the warm welcome!!!!

Looks like Rons Auto body doesn't mess around. I just need some minor body stuff and paint. Luckily my car came from arizona. No rust. I just need to replace every single piece of rubber there is, and remove some small dents.

Yeah, that 4-brl sure is nice. I drove it like a grandpa for the first 2 weeks afraid the motor was too tired to be messing around with, but then i just couldn't resist. I was actually shocked at what that 4700 lb boat could do. I LOVE IT. I just bought my girlfriend a new saturn in Dec, and now i can't drive the thing. I feel clausterphobic. Ok, thanks again.
