I can't figure out how come it took me so long to find this board, but I feel like I just arrived at a big party!:TU: We bought a 69 Skylark project car that we were going to pro street, but it ended up to be a p.o.s. Oh well, it has some savable parts and we shoulda known better than to buy a car 1500 miles away sight unseen. ou: We are leaving at midnight to go look at a 69 GS 13 hours away. Wish us luck that it's worth the trip!
Hi Connie! Glad to see you made it over here, and good luck with the GS trip. Which direction are you traveling for this one?
Welcome to the board. I think I saw pictures of the blue car that you purchased some where. I know what you mean about buying a car long distance. I drove 1400 miles and the car was not what he claimed. It onlt cost me the $400 to go there and back. This board is very addicting. My girl friend wants to send me to BA (buicks anonymous) for help.
Thanks, and thanks for the link David. Lee says I can't say where or it might jinx us. LOL! The car has been for sale for quite a while, I'm hoping something isn't terribly wrong with it. mX Xm (fingers crossed) Hey Topless at least you were smart enough to go look at it.
Woo Hooo!!!          I am now the owner of an original 1969 GS 400!!!!! We got to Buffalo at a little after 1:00 their time on Saturday. It was raining, but the car was straight, no rust, really good interior, and had a 455 motor stuffed in it, a shift kit, and a 12 bolt rearend! Gotta go play now, later!
Looks nice Connie! :TU: 'Course, now all your friends are going to think you're a Vikings fan... then again, maybe you should be :eek2:
I see you found the place. Welcome! Connie, Post those pics you had on Buickgod.com of the project car that wasn't what it appeared to be. Is this purple one the one your going to look at? (Doh! never mind, I gleened right past the post that said you bought it!) ou:
purple people eater :Comp: Welcome Connie !!!!!! Love the purple GS ! You are gonna like it here ..............................:Smarty: :Brow: :Brow: :TU: (Great to see another girl join the group !) Shirley Enjoy and again Welcome !:TU::bglasses:
ou: Connie where do you live in Wisconsin ? Big Buick party here Saturday !!!!!:beer :beer :beer :bglasses: o No:
Thanks David. The way the Packers are starting out this year, you just might be righh :af: Uh, no Dad, I was just kidding really...::::ack!:::::
Here's a link to the little webpage I made it. Now we've got to seriously start parting it out before the snow flies because we need the garage space! Basketcase?
Thanks for the nice welcome Shirley! I'm from Oshkosh, but my Dad lives in Waterford! I've got a wedding this Saturday otherwise I'd love to come down. We are going to Byron next weekend for the the wheel standers though. Yippee!!
Connie, That 69 is too far gone. Unless you own a welder, a rotisserie, lots of tools, sheetmetal and time, you should part it out. Sounds like there's lots of useable parts. Cut out the trunk and floors and quarters. Save what you can because someone here will certainly be needing it some day. Welcome! That 69 must haul buns with that 455. Alan Wander runs mid 12's with his Titanic-weight drop top. I believe the hardtop is a couple hundred pounds lighter. Have fun, and join the BPG!
Who you callin' Chubby, Yarley Me or My car ??? My '69 GS convert. only weighs ~4100 with me in it http://itnmedia.com/alan/mygs2002.wmv Weeeeee !!! Welcome Connie....and sometimes Lee That car mustn't have been a buffalo original - I spent 5 years up there for college and NOTHING lasts that long up there
Connie very nice car you have there, I am also getting my wife involved, I think the bug bt here while she was at the track this past weekend.
That car must not have been in Buffalo very long or the owner must not have ever drove it because I think I know of every GS in the area (I live just outside of Buffalo) and I have never seen that car. I did notice it for sale on the Trader-on-line web site though. Nice find..:beer
