I am switching to a 430 later this year and was wondering if I buy a heavy duty 4 row radiator now for it, will it cause any adverse effects running it with my 340 until then? Was only wondering because my radiator is leaking from a few places, mainly one large one and feel it is going to take a dive soon. Thanks in advance.

Ive got a 4 core with my 350 (its from a GS455, or so the replacement book said), and I've had 0 advirse affects.

IF the engine wont warm up properly, just replace the thermostat to a higher temp.

Ditto on the 4 core & a 350. Maybe a tad more cold blooded but that is what the gas pedal is for. ;)

If its not a restro car why not go aluminum?
Aftermarket would be price but maybe one out of a 86+ bb truck at a UPI JY.
Would give you more room and then run an elec fan.

Get one from a stick and run a seprate alu cooler for the trans.
