My ragtop should have the heater core pinch style clamps. No biggie, ordered some up from a vendor but they are too small. Looking at them they say 5/8" OD and 3/4" OD!!! So if the heater cores are 5/8" and 3/4" spouts the hoses will be larger of course. The 3/4" will work nicely on the 5/8" connection but where can I buy the correct clamps for the larger heater core connection? Seems silly to me, why doe they even sell these?? GM only used the two sizes for like a billion years. Thanks Tim
I have had the same problem Tim, I bought these from severasl vendors and they don't know the correct sizes. I just bought several of each size to find the correct ones. Not easy to put on either! When they are really tight I use antifreeze as lube.
yeah I know they are ugly to work with, but no way will their 3/4" OD fit a 3/4 heater core connection. It won't spread far enough apart. I found a kit that had the ones I wanted but it was for mopar machiens and the kit was for a complete car and like 50.00. Surely someone has the right size (for clamping 7/8 or 1" OD hose)??? later Tim

Year One lists only two part #s #HC9 for 5/8 hose and #A5359 for 3/4 inch I think that is where I got them and also may have gotten some from your favorite CARS.

AMK Products Tim, For $3.00, AMK Products has a set of 4 "wire type spring clamps, col coded" for 1968 Chevelles, Novas, and Camaros under Part Number G-4613. I would imagine these would also fit Buicks, since both cars (GSs and Chevelles) are GM and share heater cores. AMK Products specializes in correct automotive fasteners and in many cases, they buy their fasteners from the same vendor that supplied GM, Ford and Chrysler. In my experience, their products have always been dead-on, although I do not have any experience with their wire hose clamps. You will be amazed at all of the fasteners they offer and even though they are sold as Chevrolet fasteners, many of them are correct for other GM makes (Buick) also. Hope this helps, Ken
