its a long story but ihave a 65 300 with an intake upgrade and a edelbrock 650 4bbl...when i bought my car (knowing nothing about it) the 2bbl went out after about 2 weeks. had it towed to a hot rod shop in SoCal (hot rods and custom stuff) and geting some pricing figured it wouldve been cheaping to 'upgrade' rahter then rebuilding...after a few days of searching they found a cast iron manifold for a 4bbl but they said they couldnt use it cause i had aluminum heads... so they got me an aluminum intake and put it all together...just found out that the 65 has iron heads... SOOO im looking for 64 heads which are aluminum...please!!! itll help me out with my current motor and/or my 300 rebuild project!!!
Hey Andrew.I would go with the 65 cast iron intake and iron heads if I were you.They are in my opinion much better than the 64 aluminum heads and aluminum intake,anyway did you get the manifolds I sent out to you yet?Thanks...............Bruce.
i have the aluminum intake and iron heads...not knowing sooner( about a years ago) so it figured it would be easy to change the heads so i can keep the manifold i have know... not yet
your going to feel a drop in performance with 64 heads and intake.. hold out for a 65 cast iron intake. you'll be glad you did
