I bought my son a 70 Skylark and the roof was leaking. Peeled the vinyl and the metal underneath is in pretty rough shape. He has several holes that need to be fixed and I need access to the underside.

The problem is - How the heck does the doggone headliner come out of a 70 Skylark Custom?! I would really like to have this done over Turkey weekend, so please, HELP!

You will need to remove all the windlace and slowly try to peel the headliner material from the glue rails. If it rips...you will need to replace the entire headliner...expect to pay $150 to have it done.

If you remove the old headliner, make sure you don't mix up the rods and make sure you also mark the proper holes the rods go into. There are 3 holes that the rods can go in,so take a sharpie or something similar and point an arrow to the hole the rod came out of. Make sure you mark the rods and put them back in the way they came out. I am betting the headliner doesn't come out without tearing. They are a bit$h to work with.
