My 70 GS has the dark saddle interior.

Ordered the Dark Saddle Headliner from OPG and it is more butterscotch or carmel in colour.

Quite a bit lighter than the edge trim , sun visors and seats.

Does this sound correct or should it match the seats and door panels in colour. :Do No:

Car had no headliner when I got it so nothing to compare it to.

It appears to be the only Dark Saddle offered by OPG.

    Appreciate your comments.

    Thanks

Dark saddle is the correct color for 71-72. I believe you probably have burnished saddle for 70.

I checked the Year One catalog and it does not appear in there either. You may have to have it dyed to match.

    Paul,
The 70 Buicks had burnished saddle, which was a tough color to get 8-10 years ago, and is much darker then the commonly available 71-72 medium saddle. At that time I could only buy this color headliner from 1 company and the cost was almost double what everyone else was selling.

The bottom line is they made a special run of this material and were the only ones that still had it. I am sure it has been all used up by now and I have not seen any headliners available in this color for years.

I see 2 choices, either contact SMS in I think Portland Oregon, and pay a lot for the material, if they have it, or buy another color headliner and have it dyed.
If you go the second route the best way to do it is to take it apart, paint each piece, sew it back up and install it. I would also suggest you contact a trim shop to do this.
