Well guys, it's almost time to get back on the road and continue our Ingenue's Funny Car Summer on the East coast! Brother Jesse Siordia and myself fly to Orlando on Sunday and then onto Ocala where on Monday morning, we pull Ingenue out of Don Garlits museum, say our final goodbyes to Don and his crew and head towards Virginia for their NHRA National event the 17-19th. We'll have her staged in the VIP Nitro Zone area starting on Wednesday the 15th. If any of you peeps plan on attending this event, please be sure to stop by and say hi...this should be a fun event. I would like to take this time to thank Don Garlits from the bottom of my heart for squeezing Ingenue into his incredible shrine of drag racing...words cannot describe just how truly honored and humbled we are to have be included in his museum for 7 weeks. Beyond unbelievable. A big thanks to Big, Ally Dearth, Rodney Garlits, Chris Bumpus and Phil for all their help and assistance in helping pull this off and making dreams come true. What will make this leg even more special is reuniting Ingenue with Steve Malise who co-built the car along with my dad in 1967 at their Brooklyn, Speed & Machine shop in NY. Steve saw the car in 2010 at NC when we just purchased her in a completely unrestored condition. Now he get's to see (and hear) the Buick roar to life which should bring back some great memories...I look forward to hearing even more stories and escapades from the glory days of drag racing.
