Can someone tell me what year (roughly) these heads are and if there worth picking up? The casting #'s are 1246322.

    thanks

Thanks, are they worth picking up, and what issues would arise when trying to put them on a 69 400 block??? And is a 75-76 crank worth getting???

    Thanks again

    Hi Guys,

Woodie......those '75-'76 heads are at the very bottom of the heap in the BBB performance arena! They have 78cc open chambers and dramatically lower compression ratio due to that. I would pass if I were you.

The crankshaft on the other hand is identical for ALL '67-'76 400/430/455's. After around late '74 they eliminated the raised "N" (for nodular) as casting foundries were changed, but ALL were still nodular though...:TU:
