You know, when everything you touch on the car goes wrong.....

Got my new E-brake cables in the mail today (only took 3 weeks:spank: ) from Inline Tube. Managed to get the front cable removed after wrestling with it for an hour. Putting the new one back in there is turning into a real chore!

Anyone done this? There is only about an inch between the firewall and the inner fender.

We tried to remove the inner fender, but it seems to be stuck in there. Well let's remove the fender...it's only a few bolts....Broke the retaining nuts off on the dog leg bolts.

Now what? Grind the heads off the bolts?:blast:

My Dad is somewhat more familiar with Oil Patch vocabulary now.

YEP... Put duct tape around head so as not to scuff inner fender. Grind away carefully. NAPA has replacement clips and bolts available, in their Balkamp line of parts. (I'd replace ALL of the clips and bolts, and use antiseize on the bolts during re-assembly.)
