With gas prices skyrocketing, I would like to know if anyone has attempted to put an overdrive trans in a boat tail Riv, or any full size Buick with a Buick motor (of course). This may be a more feasible option than retraining my right foot to stay out of the secondaries.
i have also been considering doing this to my boat tail. but i think that in the end i will convert to a switch pitch and go with an overdrive on the back of my th 400.
I'm sure it could be done. In Fact I know It's been done in other, earlier Rivs. The problems I see would be getting the right combo to keep that massive car from lagging as you're cruising at 1200 rpm at 60 MPH
